I gather photographs, icons, and written accounts of the subject, and we settle on the reference and mood together before any charcoal touches paper.

The drawing
I work in compressed charcoal on paper, slowly, at an upright easel — building the face in light and shadow until the expression holds that spiritual quietude I am always chasing. I share progress along the way.

Delivery
The finished original is fixed, carefully packed flat or professionally shipped, with guidance for framing it well.
