Hieromonk Seraphim Rose
A portrait of the American-born writer and priest-monk. My primary goal was to capture his likeness by depicting spiritual quietude in his expression, rather than a hyper-realistic resemblance or photocopy. Completed with compressed charcoal sticks and a kneaded eraser.
